The joint venture team is in place and commercial activities have begun.

The joint venture was formed in 2021 following a feasibility study with Airbus. The feasibility study aims to facilitate the introduction of hydrogen aircraft at around 30 airports worldwide.

The partnership's services cover all the challenges of integrating hydrogen energy:

An estimate of the volume of hydrogen required over time.

Logistics optimization according to the specific requirements and location of the airport.

Preliminary safety and carbon impact studies.

Cost analysis and investment roadmap development.

Hydrogen Airport is aimed at the global market, with initial business development focusing on approximately 200 international and regional airports of a given critical size in current or future hydrogen hubs (North America, Europe, Asia Pacific).

The business framework of the joint venture, the Air Liquide Group, is responsible for the production of renewable or low hydrogen, as well as the liquefaction, storage and distribution of hydrogen for aircraft. The Paris Airports Group is responsible for airport infrastructure and operations.
